In this week’s video, Washington State Sen. Sharon Brown discusses Senate Bill 5395, the controversial sex education bill. On March 11, 2020, thousands of parents, educators and students from around the state gathered in Olympia to voice their strong opposition to the measure requiring comprehensive sexual health education be taught in all grade levels. Even more parents met for similar protests in cities all across the state. Sen. Brown talked with some of the parents about why they are pleading with Governor Jay Inslee to listen to the people and veto the bill.
