Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs does not like a bill proposing new rules for the state’s initiative process. Under the proposed legislation, after someone signs a petition, they would be asked to sign a declaration. Sen. Jeff Wilson says, “There seems to be no problem for which this bill is trying to solve, and that alone says we need to put the brake pedal on it.”
