Earlier this year, Gov. Bob Ferguson signed HB 2266 into law, which allows permanent supportive housing for drug addicted folks statewide with no treatment required, in ANY neighborhood in our state, just like in Seattle. Local jurisdictions cannot say no, while requiring local zoning regulations are required to have it. Neighborhoods with these dangerous housing policies have experienced urban blight, small business exodus, and more vulnerable populations dying on the street.
