Harris to hold telephone town hall Monday, Feb. 25<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/src.leg.wa.gov\/benton\/index.htm\"><strong>Sen. Don Benton<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/houserepublicans.wa.gov\/members\/paul-harris\/\"><strong>Rep. Paul Harris<\/strong><\/a> are inviting constituents in the 17th District to participate in a telephone town hall meeting on <strong>Monday, Feb. 25<\/strong>. The community conversation begins at <strong>6:30 p.m.<\/strong> and will last one hour. \u00a0 To participate, residents may call <strong>1-877-229-8493<\/strong> toll-free and enter the code <strong>17528<\/strong> when prompted. During the telephone town hall, the legislators will listen to residents, answer questions and discuss a variety of topics related to the 2013 session. Once on the line, participants may select<strong> *3 <\/strong>on their telephone keypads to ask a question or they can simply listen in and take part in instant polls. \u00a0 \u201cThe Legislature is currently working through proposals for education reforms, new transportation revenues, job creation measures, and many other critical issues,\u201d said <strong>Harris, R-Vancouver<\/strong>. \u201cIt is important I receive input from constituents on these difficult issues, and it is a great opportunity to connect with residents spread out across our legislative district.\u201d \u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re one-third of the way into the 2013 legislative session and approaching the deadlines for acting on legislation.
